To sell, you have to be willing to get real. You have to be willing to ruffle some feathers, and shine a light on what’s wrong in people’s lives – not so that you can hurt them or make them feel bad, but to help them understand that they need help, your help. It’s like a mother telling her kid he sucks.
As someone who wants to genuinely help others, you have to be willing to tell the truth, be vulnerable, and authentic. Not only will people respect you, it also sets the foundation for your future customers and clients to be able to trust you. So no matter how hard it is, keep it real.
YOU HAVE TO BE SEEN EVERYWHERE
Visibility trumps capacity. This means you’re ideal customer has to see you every where they turn. If you are finding it hard to get sales, it’s because not enough people know who you are and what you do. You can have the most amazing products and services and the best programs in the industry but if no one knows who you are and what you are capable of, it’s all for not.
Get seen, get heard, build your influence and grow awareness around your brand. People need to know you. Visibility equals value!
YOUR BRAND NEEDS TO BE CONSISTENT
To make things happen you have to be consistent. Building a business takes more than passion, it takes hard work and you have to be willing to go through the valley to get to the top of the mountain. If sales are not coming, figure out what you need to change – get a coach, find new tools, get an accountability buddy, invest in marketing. Whatever it takes, figure it out and keep going until you get it right.
