Yep, it’s the “golden egg” every online business owner wants in their proverbial money bag!

So, it’s no surprise that creating and selling online courses is a good way to achieve this.

I’m a true believer that every woman has at least ONE great idea inside of her. An idea that she can turn into income…passive income that is!

And you may be at a place in your life where you are itching for something new, you know there is something better than the current 9-5 you are tied into or maybe you’re somebody who has seen someone you know take their passion and build a business out of it and you’re wondering well how can I do that too.

Even if you don’t have a clue as to what you could, would, or should create an online course on, or maybe you’re thinking, well who would possibly pay me to teach them what I know, I’m not an expert…just stick with me and let’s explore the possibilities of what can happen for you…

Just imagine how amazing it would feel to be able to help a community of people do something or achieve something they never thought they could do alone?

Imagine how great it would feel to wake up to payment notifications from people all over the world who trusted you to help them with their problem or change?

Because here’s the thing…creating your own digital products and online course is one of the quickest, easiest, and most effective ways to build wealth online. And to do it from the comfort of your own home.

You don’t need to have an office space
You don’t need to invest in and store inventory
You don’t need employees
You don’t need to recruit an army of distributors to make a decent living

Now many of you know that working from home is the blueprint of the future and it offers the type of freedom and flexibility that once you get a taste of it, you won’t ever want to work within the confines of a cubicle ever again.

I would rather have an automated marketing machine that generates monthly income, which can grow to 6, 7, or even 8 figures than to subject myself to trading time for dollars.

I have created dozens of income streams from network marketing to speaking, brand design services to one-on-one coaching, but none have come close to generating as much revenue as online courses.

Now let’s do a quick exercise real quick because I want you to get excited about what you can expect to make from your own online course.

I want you to pull up a calculator.

Let’s say that you have a goal to hit make $10K a month from your online course.

I believe that your signature online course should be no less than $1000. If you are charging less than that it’s not enough.

You can also sell 370 ebooks at $27 each – not bad if you have a large audience and can do the volume which can take years to build.

Or you can sell 10 courses at $`1000 or 20 courses at $500 – both price points are very common. That’s right. You only need 10 students per month to get to your goal.

And you can do this on autopilot!

Now, I’m not saying that you can create a course and it simply sells itself – there IS work that has to be done, but in my opinion, an online course is one of the easiest products to create and market through what’s called an “evergreen” sales funnel which gives you the ability to attract your ideal customer and convert them to customers on autopilot.

The course creation business is a multi-billion dollar industry. Athletes, coaches, fitness trainers, designers, real estate agents, and entrepreneurs alike are taking their knowledge, experiences, and skills, turning them into an online training course, and making a living doing it.

You can find champion entrepreneurs creating and selling online training courses on just about ANYTHING. And some of them are winning big.

If you want to make a full-time income by launching just a few times per year or by creating an evergreen product you can sell again and again from your site, there is no better way to do this than with your own signature course.

But again, that freedom-based lifestyle involves time and effort, be it in the form of content creation, growing your audience, and marketing your course.

I’ve seen plenty of entrepreneurs sell everything from virtual weight loss programs to how to build an app, often making $10,000 or more per month!

The possibilities for you are endless. Your course can be filled with hundreds of explainer videos, or be a small mini-course or workshops with as few as 1 video.

When I started online, I had no idea how easy it was to make money online selling your own signature courses, so I sold other people’s products as an affiliate. As I began to seek ways to grow my own passive income, I would learn, take action on what I learned, then share my results on my blog. As I began to receive more and more inquiries from people seeking my advice in specific areas of online entrepreneurship and personal branding, a mentor suggested selling my own eBook. I said okay, I think I can do that. So I did.

I had a problem. I found a solution. And I was able to package it up into a product that people paid for.

So once I knew I was onto something, I took that ebook, and turned it into a profitable online course. And you can do the same.

I’ve met entrepreneurs from all around the world who have shown me first-hand that there are many ways to earn income passively, the most popular being through online courses, but how does a course translate into income?

Is it possible for you to monetize your natural skills and passions, and how?

Most people never think that the information they have inside of their brains can be turned into a product, when in reality we all have skills that others around us aspire to have.

You’ve probably posted something on Facebook, published a video on YouTube or Instagram, or shared a blog post giving advice on a particular topic. Maybe you’ve shared your weight loss journey or shown your friends how to DIY something? You’re probably already teaching people now and you don’t even realize it.

Research your Topic.

• What topics are you passionate about? What skills or experience have you picked up over the years? What do people ask you all the time?
• What problem are you solving and for whom? Is there a unique solution or transformation you’ve developed to get someone from point A to B?
• Who are you serving? Who is your ideal client? Are they already paying for solutions similar to yours?
• Validate your course idea: ask questions, send polls/quizzes to refine your positioning, and do your research to make sure there is a readymade market.

Grow Your Audience.

• Begin creating content related to your course idea to attract your ideal audience.
• Grow your email list with audience-specific opt-ins and lead magnets.
• Nurture your new subscriber by sharing results-driven content that will build your know like and trust factor.

Create Your Course.

• Choose your course type. Will you be doing a live or evergreen course? Dripping content or making all of your modules available upon enrollment.
• Choose your course delivery tools. Choose an LMS plugin or sign up for a plug n play type LMS system such as Teachable or Thinkific.
• Choose any additional tools you’ll need to host your course content.
• Map out your modules, lessons, and supporting resources. Think about your A-Z system and what steps your students need to take in order to learn what you’re trying to teach?
• Write, record, edit and publish your content.

Launch Your Course.

• Build buzz around your course by creating a content and marketing plan that highlights the transformation (not the course itself).
• Launch a challenge, giveaway, or webinar to draw people to your waitlist or sales funnels and nurture them via an automated email sequence in the lead up to your launch.
• Offer bonuses and discounts for early bird purchases.

By executing these steps, you can create a business that not only builds your influence but builds your passive income as well. Plus, the more profitable courses you generate, the greater your passive income will be.

So, remember that if there is a need there’s money to be made. The only thing you have to decide is, will I be the one making the money or watching everyone else bring in the dough. It’s time to begin living life on your terms and it’s possible once you decide to take those skills of yours and put them to good use.
