In this comprehensive guide, I am going to walk you through a carefully curated 30-day eBook launch timeline designed to help you navigate every step of the process with confidence and ease.

From fine-tuning your content to crafting compelling marketing strategies, I’ve got you covered. Get ready to unleash your creativity, captivate your audience, and catapult your business to new heights. We’re about to go on an exciting journey that I know will empower and give you the confidence to turn your dreams of becoming a successful eBook writer into a reality.

Day 1 -5: Pre Launch Prep

Finalize Editing: Ensure your eBook is polished and error-free. If necessary, hire a professional editor.

Design Cover: Create an eye-catching cover design that reflects the content of your eBook.

Prepare Marketing Materials: Create promotional graphics, supporting workbook content, social media captions, affiliate graphics, ad graphics, and any other marketing materials you’ll need. If you are hiring a graphic designer, make sure to put together a brand book or design instructions that include details about the design and visual style of your project.

Write Sales Description: Craft a compelling sales description that grabs readers’ attention and convinces them to buy your eBook.

Document The Contributors: Make a spreadsheet of everyone you mentioned in your book along with important details such as their social media handles, website URLs, testimonials, and case study examples. This is all information you may need to use for future promotion.

The Ultimate 30 Day eBook Launch Timeline

Day 6 -10:

Write Sales Description: Craft a compelling sales description that grabs readers’ attention and convinces them to buy your eBook.

Start Second Draft: Update your ebook with any necessary edits you got back from your editor.

Get Feedback From Friends: Send the first draft to a few trusted friends, current clients or trusted sources to get testimonials for sales page.

Create Supporting Material: Craft and finalize any bonus items that need to be created such as video files, tutorials or PDF worksheets.

Put a Price On It: Outline pricing structure especially if you are offering multiple levels or access tiers of your eBook.

Write Your Welcome: Start writing the welcome email series for purchasers (you’ll be creating this inside of your email service provider)

Finalize Your Formatting: Finalize the structure and layout of your ebook including your cover, title page, dedication, copyright, disclosures, etc. Check for consistency to make sure the presentation and packaging of your content are cohesive and professional looking.

Finalize Your eBook File: If you have included links, make sure that they are clickable + being redirected to the correct pages. You also want to have your editor or friends confirm you haven’t missed anything.

Day 11 -15:

Save a Sample Chapter: Take a snippet or chapter from your eBook that you can share on your sales page and as a lead magnet. This is a great way to entice people to buy your book + get on your email list list.

Create First Draft of Sales Page: Your sales page is critical to the success of your eBook sales. Boost conversions by taking time to craft a compelling sales page that speaks to the problems your target audience is faced with along with the solution our eBook provides for them. In addition to the features, you want to focus on the outcome. Your sales page should also include testimonials, guarantees, bonuses, pricing, and FAQs. Install Facebook Pixel + send to a few trusted friends/clients for feedback.

Create First Draft of Thank You Page: Your Thank You page lets customers know their purchase was successful. It may also include may include next steps, an invitation to join your community, login details, upsell and/or downsell offers, Install Facebook Pixel + send to a few trusted friends/clients for feedback.

Craft Lead Magnet Follow-up Emails: Put together a short email series that converts your “sample chapter” subscribers into eBook customers. These dedicated emails to your mailing list should focus on your eBook launch, offering exclusive deals or bonuses for subscribers.

Record Sales Page Video: Record an intro video or behind the scenes video for your sales page.

Finalize Your Sales Page: Make any final edits you need to make for your sales page to be complete.

Day 16 -20:

Build Buzz: Start generating excitement about your eBook on social media, your website, and through email newsletters. Write a blog post, go live on Facebook, create promo videos to bring attention to your upcoming release.

Set up affiliate program: If applicable, set up your affiliate program and supporting marketing materials to help your affiliates sell your eBook with ease.

Test Everything: Test all of your page links, check out pages, order forms, coupons, downloads, and landing pages by processing a test order.

Reach Out to Influencers: Identify influencers or bloggers in your niche and reach out to them to see if they’d be interested in promoting your eBook. Start emailing strategic affiliate partners and/or people you can ask to help promote your launch. Make sure you have graphics, affiliate links, tracking and other elements of your affiliate program ready to go.

Offer Pre-order Discounts: If possible, offer a discounted pre-order or early bird price to incentivize early sales. You will also want to decide on any limited time bonuses you will be offering (ex: free call with you, VIP coaching, etc.)

Day 21 -30:

Update Your Pre-Sales Customers: If you had presale customers, make sure to update them on the launch. Ask for testimonials, document customer case studies and collect any type of social proof that you can use to create momentum around your eBook launch.

Start Updating Your Website: Add graphics and calls to action to popular posts and webpages to promote your launch.

Start Updating Your Pre-Existing Email Funnels: Update your pre-existing email sequences to include relevant information about your launch. Make sure to test that all links work, include deadlines or countdown timers when appropriate and adjust email timelines.

Launch Day Announcement: Make a big announcement on all your marketing channels that your eBook is now available for purchase.
