Want More Goodies To Help You Win In Business & Life?
In Internetland we all know that content is KING! Not only do you need content, you need quality content that people can
actually find. So today’s post is a 7 step guide to promoting your small business blog post. Because we all know that no matter how great your content is, if nobody reads it everybody loses. You aren’t growing your business as an online entrepreneur and your target audience is not able to benefit from the information you provide to help them grow their business.
The worst feeling in the world is to put tons of time , energy and money creating content for your small business blog posts and there is no reward for all that hard work because you are not penetrating your target market.
So how do we change that around?
Well it is easier than you think. There are no super secret underground ninja tactics to promoting your small business blog post on the internet, just a simple step guide that I you can use every day to gain exposure for your business leveraging the internet.
1. Submit To Facebook
With almost a billion people engaging on Facebook, why wouldn’t you want to share your content on the most famous social media site on the planet?
Once you have published your blog post, copy the Title and a 1-2 sentence description. You want to make sure it has your target keywords and a hypnotic tagline that piques curiosity and interest. I tend to use a variation of the summary I create for my All in One SEO Pack. It is already optimized with keywords, it grabs attention and it’s short and concise.
Where To Post Your Blog Post on Facebook
- Post to your personal Facebook FanPage
- Post to 5 groups a day – (make sure the groups are related to the content you are posting)
- When you engage with others on Facebook, promote your new blog post if it relates to the topic of discussion
2. Submit To Twitter
Twitter is another powerful social media outlet every entrepreneur should be using to build brand recognition and gain exposure. If used the right way, Twitter can send tons of people back to your blog post. Enough said here!
3. Submit To Top 20 Social Media Outlets
Pingler and Ping.fm to send my content out to 40+ social media sites with one click of a button. Both sites are free to sign up and will help you get massive exposure across the web.
These sites let you submit content without having to sign into each and every social media account you have. Simply cut and paste the title and short description and click submit. Takes less than 2 seconds.
Here is a really cool tip. If you want more link juice….make sure you are posting directly to Facebook first before submitting to Ping.fm. This will get you more SEO juice from it as a direct link back to your blog.
4. Submit To Social Bookmarking Sites
Bookmarking is an excellent way to promote your content and it works!! I use Onlywire to send my new post out to over 30 sites everytime I publish new content. You can also use Shareholic as well to submit to another dozen or so sites that Onlywire doesn’t submit to.
Within minutes you can have your blog posts submitted to almost 50 sites.
A great way to get others syndicating your content is to utilize the power of a Tribe! Yes content syndication tribes can help you create social buzz and move you to the first page of Google within hours. Just imagine how powerful it is to have hundreds, even thousands of people promoting your content.
Click here to learn more about Syndication Tribes.
6. Submit To YouTube and Other Video Sharing Sites
Well how do you do this?
Here is a quick tip on re-purposing your content. Summarize your blog post, highlighting the key points and shoot a quick 3-5 minute video. Post that video to the top video sharing sites, making sure to direct viewers back to your original blog post by including the url at the beginning and end of the video description. Make sure your video title has your target keywords and you use the same tags as you did in your original blog post!
7. Comment on Related Blogs
I have talked about how I use blog commenting to leverage the influence of other top bloggers by tapping in to their audience, so I won’t go into too much detail. Comment on blog posts that relate to what your most recent post was about.
Here is a quick tip. If you are only commenting for the sole purpose of gaining a back link don’t comment on a post that has more than 20 comments. With that many comments already posted to one post your chances of someone scrolling down to read your comment and click your link is slim to none. So don’t waste your time.
Also, Google only spiders the first 60 links on a page top to bottom, so if your comment is 48 along with all of the other links on that page beside the comment links, then you wont get credit for that back link.
The point of commenting is to offer value not just to scoop up a backlink. Make sure you are contributing something worthwhile, not only will you get a backlink, but you will get the attention of other commentors, possibly even the creator of the blog…That is how you get noticed!
BONUS
Here is a bonus tip that I use to leverage high PR ranking sites. After I publish each new post there are two sites that I copy and paste my original blog post to. Those sites are Posterous and EmpowerNetwork. Posterous has an Alexa Ranking of 525 and EmpowerNetwork has an Alexa Ranking of 286 in the US. These sites are getting thousands upon thousands, if not millions of hits a day.
Don’t worry about duplicate content, your main concern is to get eyes on your content and move up to the first page of google as quickly as possibly. By leveraging these 2 sites, I’ve been able to get on the first page of google for multiple keywords.
Once you paste in your blog post into Posterous and/or EmpowerNetwork make sure you hyperlink the first target keyword phrase back to your original blog post. This will create a high quality link back to your original blog post!
So that’s it…super simple to do if you take the time and do it for each and every post you write.
Do you have any blogging tips you can share?
How many leads are you getting each day for your business from your lead generation strategies?
Do you know how many people are opting in to your blog, Facebook fanpage and other capture pages?
If the answer is not enough, none or I don’t know then you may want to listen up to what I am about to share with you.
The bottom line is this: To build any successful business online, you have to have a continuous stream of fresh leads. Leads are the lifeline of your business. Without Traffic and Leads there is no way your business can survive.
So if you are not building a list you are not building a business and you might as well to STOP wasting your time.
As an online entrepreneur your number one priority is to implement any and all lead generations strategies that are building your list and producing profits. This also means eliminating any and all strategies that are not effective, not income producing and not helping you to grow your business fast.
There are a number of lead generation strategies that you can use to turn your business in to a GOLDMINE. From blogging to article marketing, Facebook to forum marketing, your ability to tap into any number of Internet Hot-spots for highly qualified, targeted leads, are limitless.
So why is it that with so many sources to tap in to you are still not generating 10, 20+ leads a day for your business?
The trick is that you have to know what you are doing.
So how do you utilize the right lead generation strategies and how do you take care of those leads once you get them on your list?
Here are some surefire lead generation strategies:
1. Blogging
By offering valuable content or information you turn visitors into loyal, dedicated readers and followers on complete autopilot giving you the ability to build your email list into the thousands. By building an email list you are able to develop relationships and increase your level of TRUST with your readers, turning them into responsive, loyal customers who buy from you repeatedly, dramatically increasing your sales.
Also, having a professional looking, well-designed blog as the “central hub” automatically positions you as an expert, it showcases your value to the community and instantly brands you as a true leader in your niche who people love to follow.
2. Facebook
If you have yet to utilize Facebook for your blog or business, you’re falling way behind. There are now over 750 million users active on Facebook and every month people spend a total of over 700 billion minutes on it (see Facebook Statistics).
For me and my own businesses, Facebook has become one of my top traffic sources (2nd only Google), and it has helped me connect with my audience in a way that no other platform has.
There are 2 primary assets that you are building when you are marketing on Facebook. Those primary assets are your fanpage (this is my fanapage here) and your email list. Building a Facebook following directly translates into getting massive amounts of leads for your business and when you can post status updates that direct thousands of leads at once to a capture page, you are building your list in such a powerful way.
Once you build your Facebook fan page and personal friends base you can continue to tap into that same pool over and over and over again. To send messages, posts updates, send people back to your capture page, promote your business. You have to go where the money is…and people are on Facebook!! If you understand how to use it properly it will be a tool that you will continue to make you money from, day after day, once you build it.
3. Social Media & Forum Marketing
Social media is a fundamental part of online marketing and is especially important for online network marketers, internet marketers and affiliate marketers. The ability to maximize social media and forum marketing in a way that allows you to build relationships, create a powerful brand and online presence while generating more leads is the formula for massive success.
The value in social media is more than having a few Facebook friends and Twitter followers. In fact, social media networking sites are more like gold mines, filled with an endless supply of targeted leads and potential prospects that you can promote your content and business to. Though most leads turn out to be nothing but dust, if you sift long enough you are guaranteed to come up with some GOLDEN nuggets. These customers, clients and even business partners are worth their weight in gold.
Social media and forum marketing keeps you connected with your audience and can deliver lots of targeted traffic if you know how to use it right. When you have a social media following, it becomes very easy to market and getting started with social media marketing is not as hard as one might think. With so many social media platforms available, it is important for network marketers to have a good understanding of the various Internet marketing strategies they can implement in their online marketing campaigns.
4. Video Marketing

How To Increase Blog Traffic
Essential WordPress Plugins To Increase Blog Traffic
You must have the right tools to monitor your blog traffic, know how effective your message is and to determine if you need to make adjustments in order to have the best network marketing blog you can. Small tweaks to your blog can make huge differences in the amount of traffic you see coming through.
Step #1 Set Up All in One SEO Pack.
In a nut shell the All in One SEO Pack Plugin Optimizes your WordPress blog for Search Engines. Make certain that immediately after you install you fill out the settings using the appropriate keywords that you want your blog to be found for.
Step # 2 Set Up OnlyWire and Facebook Share
These awesome plugins will allow your visitors to share your content right from your blog (check out the buttons at the top and bottom of this post?).
Step # 3 Set Up Google Analytics
What? Google Analytics….What is Google anlaytics?
Google Analytics shows you how people found your site, how they explored it, and how you can enhance their visitor experience. With this information, you can improve your website return on investment, increase conversions, and make more money on the web. It is also useful for seeing which keywords are driving traffic to your site.
Don’t have an Analytics account? To start using Analytics, sign in with your Google Account here.
- All the the plugins I mentioned above can be found in your wordpress dashboard under the “Plugins” Tab. Click add new and search for the plugin you want and click install. Be sure to fill out the settings for each plugin (you will see your plugins stacked in the left hand side of your menu. Search under “Settings” tab all the way toward the bottom.)
There are a number of other plugins that can enhance the functionality when it comes to your blog but these 3 are a must when looking to maximize your traffic.
Step # 4 Craft Your Content
It’s not good enough to just sit in front your your computer and write whatever comes to mind. When building an online business you are targeting your ideal prospect and you want to drive traffic to your site that is going to want you you have to offer them. I made the mistake when I first started online of writing what I felt like that day then trying to figure out on the back end how I was going to get traffic to my blog. To maximize your time, productivity and efforts, you must be strategic when writing your blog content. A well crafted blog post can get you traffic immediately and get you found in the search engines much quicker.
Take a few minutes to do keyword research, create a hypnotic title that draws readers in and format a post that is easy to read and provide incredible value to your readers. This is the fastest way to increase traffic to your site.
(Here is a tool I found useful when I first started SEO for my blog posts – download for free here)
Step # 5 Get Syndicated
Yes Syndication is your friend when it comes to increasing blog traffic and the next step to generating tons of back links and get viral exposure is achieved by using syndication tribes. I absolutely love the fact that I can have hundreds of people sharing my content on social media networks such as LinkedIn, Delicious, Twitter and Facebook. Tribes are extremely powerful because your content is being shares by tons of people on dozens of different sites. This kind of viral activity gets Google’s attention and shows the search engines that your content is relevant because people are sharing it.
Here is an example of how many times a recent blog post of mine was shared. I mean WOW! That is “1157″ back links from high ranking websites that are directed at this one blog post. This is some super duper link juice. If you do not have any back links to your blog it’s extremely difficult for the search engines and therefore your target market, to find your blog posts. The absolute best thing about this syndication tribe is that you can join it for FREE, here – Join Syndication Tribe.
One last plugin I want to mention that will increase blog is the Onlywire plugin. You can access this as well from your wordpress dashboard. When you publish your blog post the onlywire plugin automatically sends your link to your personal social bookmarking accounts.
These 5 simple steps will dramatically increase blog traffic over the next 48 hours but you can achieve even BIGGER results by educating yourself more on traffic generation by clicking the link below.

“Hey, My name is Andrea.”
“Hi Andrea. Nice to meet you!”
“Would you like to buy my online course? It’s only $47 bucks and I guarantee it will teach you all you need to know about building a business online…Hello…HELLO?!
No matter which end of the conversation you are on, it’s not pleasant for either. I didn’t get my sell and you feel bothered and annoyed!
Cold selling, which is similar to “cold calling,” is when someone who doesn’t know you, doesn’t know what you want or what you are
looking for, tries to pitch you something without a warranted invitation. Cold selling does not work. You may be able to luck up and get a sale here or there but if you value your time and your dignity, you cannot cold sell, especially if you want to create a successful business online.
Do you like getting calls from telemarketers? Do you like signing up for email newsletters expecting value, only to be slapped with offers? Do you click links for products on facebook or in tweets from people you haven’t heard of?
I can’t tell you how many times a day I get phone calls, emails, and facebook messages showing me some kind of cold offer. Cold selling is the fastest way to lose credibility and respect from people who may have eventually purchased from you and maybe even help you promote and market your products.
- So the question is, how can we as internet entrepreneurs, bloggers, and online network marketers sell something to people online, without cold selling?
The answer is simple: Turn cold traffic warm by building a RELATIONSHIP with your list.
Relationships create trust, credibility, security… Build a relationship with your list and you’ll quickly find that the cold selling dissipates. Become their friend, be real, be candid, invite them to interact and engage with you. The more you interact with your list the better chance you’ll have of them sticking around and helping you out in the future. Whether it is sharing your next blog posts, linking to you on their website, buying something from you, or becoming an affiliate.
Here are 5 super simple ways you can interact and engage with your list so you can begin to build and solidify those so important relationships.
1. Be Present
There is no way to build a relationship with your list if you are hiding all the time. Be upfront, be authentic, tell people exactly who you are, what you do and what you are all about! I am a big proponent of being candid and transparent. That is one of the reasons why this blog has as successful as it has.
If you can create content and provide information that let’s your personality shine through, you are primed for connecting with readers on a deeper level. Show your picture every once in a while, share your family photos. People will be attracted to what you have to say and what you have to offer. So make sure you put your face on your website…and don’t forget to smile!
I mean really, how many successful blogs have you come across that don’t have a face or personality connected to it?
2. Comments Bring Your Blog To Life
Another great way to build relationships is to get the other party to interact with you. There is not easier way to do this than with commenting. If people take time to fill out their name, website, and email address when making a comment, that’s time they are giving to you. That’s time they are contributing to the vitality of your website.
Not only will people ask you questions or add to what you’ve posted about, but it will encourage others to step out and do the same. So make sure you ask for comments! Encourage your readers! Talk about things that will get them commenting!
Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below =)
3. Respond!
For every comment that someone makes on your blog or website, it is important to respond and to engage back. Let your readers know you are listening to them and appreciate their feedback. It may take you a little bit more time or add a few extra minutes of work to your day but it is simple to do. Responding to people’s comments, emails, and inquiries is the next best thing to meeting that person and having a conversation with them
People do notice and appreciate when you take the time to respond. They’ll remember the gesture and feel a sense of connection. So when you do post something or offer a product, they will be much more inclined to give it a look.
4. Network, Network, Network
Joining social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and becoming friends with people of similar interest is a great way to get to know people in ways that others do not. Some of the greatest business success I’ve had has come from friendships I’ve built with friends online.
By simply accepting a friend request, you are planting the seeds to a new relationship. How you nurture and cultivate that seed is up to you but the more seeds you plant to more chances you have of developing long lasting and meaningful relationship.
Make sure you give people the opportunity to because your friend on the various social media platforms. Include links in your blog posts, in your sidebar or in your emails just like I did above.
5. Take Baby Steps
A great way to set yourself up for a sell is to prime your traffic with baby transactions. Take them through the process of Thought ==> Action ==> Receive. These are small things like:
- Answering a survey
- Entering contact info into an opt-in form for a weekly newsletter
- Entering contact info into an opt-in form for a free gift
- Offering a prize or reward for taking some type of action
These baby transactions train the mind, so that when you offer a product your traffic actually has to pay for, they are not paralyzed by the unknown, but a re comfortable because they trust you and have gone through the thought process before.
So based on your experience…which one of these steps has made the most impact on your online business?
