If you have ever read Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich then you are probably aware of the terms “Master Mind” or “Master Mind groups“.

What is a Master Mind group?

No, it’s not some evil “hocus pocus” cult group plotting to take over the world. A Master Mind group is simply an alliance of two or more individuals dedicating themselves to a specific goal.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of a “Master Mind” group or alliance then I highly recommend that you get familiar with it right now. Because hosting your own personal Master Mind Groups will accelerate your success in an unexpected but phenomenal way.

You’ve heard the phrase Two minds are better than one, right?…After all, “No man (or woman) ever achieve a great level of success alone…”

Napoleon Hill, first defined the Master Mind group as a “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

Whether you believe in Master Mind groups or not, I happen to know that it is an essential part of my success in this industry. (Not something that you “may”do but something that you “must” do if you want to capitalize and maximize your success…)

In fact, I just had a 2 day long “Master Mind” session last week where I got my team together to brainstorm the future of our business. Our intent was to help thousands and men and women achieve financial freedom and become depth free. We mapped out and outlined our plan to get you there if you are not there already.

Since the publication of Think and Grow Rich in the 1937, the idea of Master Mind groups has grown and evolved to become a staple tool of successful individuals.

The benefits of having a supportive Master Mind group are great

1. You are aligned with a group of people of like-mind that are available to help you succeed.
2. You get the benefit of differing perspectives, input and feedback.
3. Your Master Mind team can bring resources and connections to the table you might not have had access to on your own.
4. You receive accountability and inspiration from the group, helping you to maintain focus in achieving your goals.
5. There is a competitive nature to Master Minds and they help you bring your A-game as you are not only accountable for your own success but for the success of the entire group.

How Do You Create Your Own Master Mind Group?

Creating a mastermind group is easier than you think. You do not necessarily need a multitude of people. Your Master Mind group can be as small as two people and as large as your ability to coordinate it.

There are two basic types of Master Mind groups: One which is focused on the success and vision of one individual, and one that is focused on helping everyone in the group.

To create a mastermind group that is dedicated to helping you achieve your personal goals, you can simply reach out to people in your network and let them know you are seeking their help as an adviser, mentor, and friend as part of your Master Mind team.

You’d be surprised at how willing many people are ready and willing to help you out when asked, since everyone likes sharing their opinion. You don’t need to set up anything fancy or formal. You might chat with each individually on the phone, through skype or even set up a conference call or an email discussion list.

Typically when someone mentions that a Master Mind group is coming together, they mean a group dedicated to achieving a greater level of success, one that can not be done alone.

Finally, don’t forget that your friends and family can become a Master Mind support system for you as well. As long as they are positive and supportive of your goals and vision it’s a great idea to Master Mind with people you already feel comfortable with, but be careful, because unfortunately, the reverse is also true – negative friends and family can also drag you down and derail your dreams!

If you don’t have the time or resources to start or join a formal mastermind group, find a good friend or even a fellow network marketer who may or may not be in the same business as you but genuinely wants you to succeed. Success breeds Success and you want to share your successes with those that will support you no matter what and are not covertly blocking or sabotaging your progress through their own jealousies and insecurities.

No matter how how create your Master mind group, just do it and understand that it is an essential part of your ultimate success plan. As Napoleon Hill said:

“Analyze the record of any man who has accumulated a great fortune, and many of those who have accumulated modest fortunes, and you will find that they have either consciously, or unconsciously employed the ‘Master Mind’ principle.”
